the night of our last night of dance
you take my hand with lightly touch
and begin to sway back and forth
the motion of our love plus the music playing so softly
began our first start of the rest of our lives
we had just met though you whisper in my ear
"Hello"
my heart already pounding from the kiss you gave me
i thought my knees would give out from fright
the night grew darker meaning it was the end
you walked to my step
but dress flowing in my hand
i said my goodnight and went to walk away
you took my hand and held it dear
telling me
"I don't want to say good bye"
hearing my mother bicker in the house
i told him I had to go
my hand still in his grasp
what do you want to say then
the white escaped my mouth
tighter he held me the more i wanted to fall
leaning toward me he kissed my cheek
"hello my darling"
that was the last day of the first of our life
he was mine as i was his
as this poem will live our with the bond of our love
